This is the portfolio blog for UnWorn World Studio.
I specialize in Coptic and Stab Bindings
but I do other bindings as well.
I mostly produce linoleum block prints or stencils
but have recently begun letterpress printing as well.
Hand embroidery has also recently entered my life in a serious way
-stay tuned for more work in that direction.
I do other crafts/arts as well
including sewing, poster design
and a stint of hat making etc.
I try my hand at many things. I try to always be learning.
I am a prodigious do-er.

Blooming Succulents! (Mostly cacti)

It's now a very safe interval after I gave this gift.
I present: how I learned to embroider!

I'd never really done embroidery on a serious scale before. Well, I've embellished but nothing where the embroidery is front and center (I've not really owned hoops...). So naturally, that's what I decided this big deal present should be.
Embroidered tea towels-a set of them.

Designs are NOT mine! These are some of the free patterns/designs available on the DMC thread's website. If you are interested in sparsely instructed but nevertheless great embroidery patterns that are free-check them out!

And also, other people are always, to a certain extent, unknowable. Everyone is aloof even when vulnerable.

Cut Paper Herbarium

This flower is made of layers of cut paper in the style of herbariums of Mary Delany.
(I did not make it anywhere as good as her, look up her work!)

One of my linoprint Ladies. Sasha

The thing is, though women can't see the backs of their own heads, there's still so much personality there.
