Other Creative Work

This blog was started to showcase my book binding and to provide a way to archive the various books I've sold or given as presents. Fast forward 5 years and my vision of my creativity and artistry has expanded. I used to never call myself an artist-now I've begun to find this label more comfortable. Since my books have turned more into artist books which take a lot of time rather than the quick innovative binding I used to do, I do other types of work as well to fill in the time.

 I'm somewhat self-taught. As an undergrad, I was on the campus Art Club exec board and took classes (for instance on batik) on techniques I can't do without a studio. Otherwise, I learn through trial and error or by following tutorials/books. I especially rely on books; please contact me if you ever want to learn about my resources.
